Strawberry Delight

Hi Everyone!!  HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!  I wanted to share with you all the special strawberry delight I made for my family..  And what would it be without my Cricut and Peachy Keen Stamps?  I made the strawberry cake and cut it up into chucks.  Then cut strawberries and added strawberry glaze.  Finally whipped cream and a strawberry on top!!  I wanted to make something for the Peachy Keen challenge.  It is based on a photo for inspiration.  The photo had fruit and it looked yummy so I decided to make this strawberry delight.  I made these cute little pick to stick in the top of the yummy delight.  Here is a picture it

The whipped cream kinda fell off one side.  My family was rushing me to take pictures because they wanted to eat it.  SO I apologize for the bad lighting.  I didn't notice it was so bad til I went and looked at the photos and the dessert was gone so I couldn't take anymore pictures:(

I used the Preserves cart for this project.  I cut the base shape at 2 1/2" out of white cardstock.  I cut 2 of these shapes for each pick.  I inked them up with Tim Holtz distress ink and added brown stitching around them.  Then adhered them together with the toothpick in the middle.
Here is a picture of them.  I used a scallop punch to make the one look like it had a bite taken out of him.  That is why he also has a sad face.  I also cut the strawberries from the Preserves cartridge.  Used brown pen to stitch around them as well.
The sentiment is from Close to my Heart Say it in Style stamp set.  This is my favorite stamp set because it has sooo many sentiments.
I used the cute Peachy Keen In Stitches face assortment stamps  I used the 1/2" size and stamped them using Stampin Up close to cocoa ink pad.
I tried to take close up pictures of each pic.  They still didn't turn out well.  I am so sorry..

I apologize again for the lighting.  These are sooo adorable in person.

Lady Bug Card

Hi Everyone!!  I wanted to share a card I made for my little love bug.  I made this card very simple so she could focus on the lady bug.  I am entering this card in the challenge over at My Creative Time.

I cut the lady bug out from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge.
I used twine for the antennas.  I couldn't decide what I wanted to do for the eyes.  So I filled them in with glossy accents.  I also used my silver ink pad and sponge to ink all over the lady bug.  It gave her a glittered look.
The sentiment is printed from my computer and I used twine around it.  LOVE the way the twine looks!
I really like how the card turned out.  It seems a bit plain but I didn't want to overdue it for such little eyes!!

Recipe:
 Black and red cardstock
 Sentiment - printed from computer
  Twine - red and black
  glossy accents
  Studio G silver ink pad
  Cricut Cartridge

Be Mine BEE using toilet paper roll

Hi Everyone!!  I wanted to share a project I did using a toilet paper roll.  I made this adorable bee and filled it with Hershey Kisses for a Valentines Day treat for my little sweetie!

The little bee was super simple to make.  First cover your toilet paper roll in black cardstock.  Then I cut 2 yellow strips of cardstock with my pinking blade.  Cut two 2" circles for the ends and I stamped the face with PK Happy Lashes face stamp.
I used 2 thin strips of black cardstock and accordion folded them for the antennas and legs.  Cut a heart from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge at 1 1/2" and stamped BE MINE from Close to my heart stamp set.

I cut the wings out of Vellum using the Art Philosophy cartridge using the petal image.  I then used my cuttlebug and the swiss dots embossing folder to emboss the wings.
Isn't his stinger cute!!  I used some scrap black cardstock and just rolled it and cut it to a point.
I addend hearts to the ends of this antennas.

I am really happy with how the bee turned out and cannot wait to give it to my little sweetie!!

I am entering this project in the following challenges!!
Peachy Keen Challenge - use toilet paper roll
My Craft Spot - Valentines (card or treat packaging)
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge - use heart on project
