Happy Birthday Card

Hi everyone!  I am so sorry I haven't been blogging lately.  I am now back to crafting after moving to the east coast!  I just got my craft room put together and am so excited to be crafting again.  I have really missed posting and leaving comments.  I put together this birthday card for my mom.  I LOVE how it turned out.

I used some white ribbon from my stash for my bow.

I picked up this basket stamp at a yard sale and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!  I used the 3 flower stamp from Stampin Up Best Blossoms for the flowers.  The ink color is Stampin up Regal Rose.  I stamped it once for the deep color and a second time for the lighter color.  I even stamped it a third time in the middle of the basket for an even lighter color.  I LOVE the different shades of pink using one color!  (I didn't clean or reink the stamp between stamping)
I used three white buttons from my stash and attached them using small glue dots.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Close to My Heart Happy Birthday stamp set.
As for the edges, I used my scissors and ran the blade along the edge to give it a rough looking edge.   I think I like the look but am unsure.  It is different!!  It kinda looks like I need to change my cutting blade :)

I am entering this card in the My Craft Spot Challenge!

  1. Such a Pretty Card! Thanks for visiting my Blog and leaving such a nice comment. I am now following you! :0)

  2. Very pretty card. And that bow is perfect. My bows never look that good. It's cool how you got the three shades of color from one. I'll have to try that.

  3. This is gorgeous! I love the monochromatic pinks and basket of flowers! Thanks for playing at My Craft SPot!

  4. Hi Carolyn: You've stamped this card just beautifully. I love the sweet colors, and the design of it is just darling.

I'd love to have you play along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We are a small, but growing, Christian challenge blog, and your sweet art would be a blessing to us. I hope you will check us out and play along real soon.
